Tuesday 3
Arthur came at dawn to ask me to go in as his father looked queer.
I saw the dear man was dead.
I telephoned the Dr twice & went for Mrs Bennetts, who came and confirmed his passing & then the doctor a little later.
I slipped home to dress & went all day on errands.
Went to Carlton to Bank & P.O. etc.
Wrote letters as I cd not work on essay.
Made pumpkin cream & took some to Mrs Bennetts, also chokos.
Was so unhappy to lose my dear neighbour that I telephoned Pixie & Nell Jordan.
In evening, took the Andresens blankets & rugs & went down to Fogdens & had a cup of tea.
