Astonishingly mild day.
Never had slightest need of radio.
Came on to rain again at 9.30.
Arthur in to telephone but all the instruments had gone dead.
Still dead at 11p.m.
Mother died 14 years ago.
I was glad to see Ruby at 6 o'clock to relieve desolation.
She seems to be going deaf without knowing it.
She stayed till 9.20
Cleaned sitting room.
Raked front plots of leaves.
Mrs A in in forenoon, fretting.
