Mild gray day with showers.
Sun in afternoon.
Ran messages for Andresens her brother dying.
Nancy Keesing rang up to say they will come next week.
Frank Ryland rang to say he will come on his day off.
I rang ['Nan Horwitz to ask after Ruth but only the m' crossed out]
Mrs Phillips to ask after Nell Jordan but only a squeaky young thing said she thinks she is all right.
Rang Glen got [Patchett?]
Jno rang in afternoon: first sign since Xmas.
Says he has a week’s leave & wants to come out next week.
I invited him to lunch.
He sounded normal but it gave me a temp. so I went & sawed off a loquat limb but had to lie down.
In eve did a bit of pagination on my MSS.
