September 1952

Monday 22

Very warm day. Over 80° at 1.30. But then a Southerly came up & by evening it was really chilly. Set some sage seeds & took daisy out of pot & put it in front with the others because the buds had withered. Worked on essay. Went to butcher also to Carlton to bank. Tomorrow the Fogdens leave, alas! Left a doz lemons on Scaif's verandah before going to bed. I wish I had a hive of bees.
