Went to bank. Messenger brought me 2 doz eggs & a bag of oranges from D. Jeune. Had early tea & went to town to Newsreel & then on to FAW to hear Jno Appleton, Max Orbiston, Queenie Ashton et al. read K. Tennant's play "Tether a Dragon." Long documentary. Pixie & I walked to St James Stn after. Will & B. Lawson were there. Les Rees whom I had not seen for a very long time. To bed by 1 a.m. Ric Throssell rang up.
