Perishing cold day. Went to town early - It came on to rain. Paid Water Bd rates on shops. Thence to Mitchell. Ate some stale bread thrown over for the fowls with butter for lunch standing in verandah out of rain talking to Kelly. Read till after 4, thence to Newsreel & shopping & home by 7 p.m. Ruby came then & stayed till 9.15. I had a meal, listened to yarn about Monash & to bed shivering. Ruby says she has a house at Rockdale.
