Very warm day. Thundered but no rain. We had a pleasant time talking & talking & little walk with Winnie & all had a rest in afternoon. Visited the village pub & others & looked at the road the Watsons must often have travelled long ago. P.R. unendurably nervous -fearing what W & I might be saying - quite unbalanced in his exactions.
