that I need it badly. Instead of
going to the mountains with
Ruth as I had planned, I am
going down to Redondo for 20
days with the folks, starting
Tuesday. I shall get rested
there at least and will see Effie
and the kids and Florence and
my Ma and Pa. I'm glad to be
going for I am tired, with a
tiredness I can't shake. But I
hate to leave [some?] of my
precious patients, and I'm
honestly jealous of the girls who
will take them for me.

This is a stupid letter. It's
the end of a day, and I feel
stupid.
