so Pooh & Jody go together and I pick her up &
take her to Marian's at lunch time. It's the
best one around with the best plant, teachers, &
well-organized curricula. During the year, it
is only possible to go on a parent participation
basis with the parent helping trained teachers
one day per wk with the Kids and then putting
in time equal to what the child puts in in lectures,
projects, & observations. It is part of the
Palo Alto Schools Adult Education division, but
has some connection with the SJ State Ed. School.
During the summer, parent participation is optional,
however S.J. State will be using it for
observations all summer, so we will have the
benefit of what they see. Pooh is enthusiastic
about it, and the teacher says that she is plunging
in without any qualms. I have to get Jim down
there to see some of the fabulous things in their
playyard. If we had an acre, we could have
our own Disneyland. Pooh is a little dissapointed
because they're not teaching her to write, but
the other day she commanded a fine audience at
the juice table by singing her ABC's. They even
have animals, a gennea-pig (sp?), rabbits (with
babies) & a tame duck that wanders around like
a dog.

Say hello to Kev & Marianne. I would be interested in his
observations on being an Apt. Mgr. I spend at least
an hour a day listening to irate, indignant, & often
foolish landlords who want me to lock the barn door
after the horse & rent $ are gone.

Love,
Marcia
