a large, Brass wash Kettle which
we use for Cooking and the other
carried a Musket in case they
Should Meet any garne. The first
party returned, but Seen nothing
of the Second party at the River
however one hour passed away
and neather [nether] Men nor Brass Ketel [kettle]
returned it was getting late
and past time the Supper
is usually ready heweve [however] we
had to use another vessel for
that time and dispence [dispense] with
the Brass Kettle. after Sun down
there was two Men Sent to the
River for more water they ret=
