To the Honorable Mayor, and City Council.

Gentlemen:

Find attached a bill for $37.50 balance due
on Carpet now on the floor in the dormitory of Central Fire Station,

The Firemen have paid $172.50 on the Carpet, from the
proceeds of their Ball, but have got no way available at present to
pay the balance, they are all willing to turn the Carpet over to the
City, if your Honorable body, will pay the balance due $27.50,

The cost of the Carpet originally,one year
ago was $210.00.
