As respresenting
the citizens of Fort Wort Worth I
appeal to you for assistance for
the starving Poor of Zapata County

This county is now suffering
from a two years drouht during
that time no crops have been raised
and none planted this spring and
the live stock interests of the
county are ruined_ Work for
the Poor there is none Aug a
state of actual starvation now
exists at Hundreds of Families

All who can do are leaving the
County but it is impossible for
the great majority. to do so
