attended with Violent Motions of the Diaphragm abdominal and
Intercostal Muscles and with a [?] and Rattling in the Throat
Regimen. Viscid Diet Such as Cheese is counted bad thin Spoon Meats
and Broths are good Moderate Exercise must not be forgotten
Cure In a Fitt when the Wind comes upward the following Enema may be
Injected
Rx. Flor. Cham. M. j. Bacc. laur. Junip aa oz. j. Sem. Fenic. dulc. Cumin aa oz. ss
decoque in aq. Font. ad Z 10 Colat. add Ol. Anis. dr. ij. Ol. Oliv. oz. jss Sal. Com. dr. ij.
M. F. Enema Repeat this 2 or 3 times then Use Frictions to the Feet and
Set them in warm Water
When there is a Violent Spasm about the Paecordia hot fomentations
are good and Nervous Ointments
Rx. Ung. ex alth. oz. j. Ol. Mac. per Express. Ol. amygd. d. Spir. lavend. C. Spt. Sal.
Ammoniae aa dr. ij. M. F. Liniment.
This must be applied to the Neck Shoulders Muscles of the Thorax &
Spine Dorsi or the hinder part of the Back Bones
Internal antispasmodics should be given with Diaphoretics
