Take 2 Quarts of new milk from the cow, th
eggs well beaten one ounce of th best cynomon 3 handfull of Burrage
topps brused let the cynomon be very well beat, but not brused
small; put all together in a Rose Still, to infuse for some 3 hours
then draaw it of with care for feare of burning every halfe hour
scum of th clouted creame, for th will hindor it for stilling
but secure th burning, In part cover th Bottom of yo Still
over with a pint of water/
A draught of this water taken every morning sweetened with
a little fine suger, keepes the Body healthfull & take twice
a day cureth the consumption that comes from Hectick faevor
A Dyet Drink
First prepare 5 gallons of wort & boyle therin some
scurvey grasse 1 of water creses, 2 handfull of Burrage Buglas
Bottany & Balme Livorwort harts Tongue Agromony parsley
Roots Fennell Roots & Succury Roots of each an handfull, boyle
all these till th leaves be tender, th straine liquor, and when it is
cold work it up with yeast, & it is reddy to turn hang all these
things in it in a Bag, and when it is gelled drink a draught of it
fasting & as oft as you please; & at your meal drink yo Scurvey
grasse drink by it selfe/

Take young crops of hopps succory Indise fimitarie
hearts tongue livorwort that groweth nere th water 2 or 3
leaves of Burrage Marygold Browne fennell a good
quantitie & yo whea is clarified w whites of eggs th put
in your herbs & let th till they turne their cullor
th let it by till it be cold, then straine it through a sive & drink
it at yo pleasure/
