To make Oyle of Charity
Take wormwood red sage rosemary [Crop] Camemole levender
of each a handfull chop them very small put them
into an earthen pot that is well glased put sweet Oyle
of Olivs to them as much as will moisten the hearbs cover
the pot that no rain may get into it & set it in the sun
for a month stir it every day with with a stick then
strain the Oyle from the herbs & put as many more fresh
herbs to the Oyle with a handfull of Valarion or as some
call it Charity set it on a soft fire & let it boyle gently
a little time about two minutes then strain the herbs
otu & put the Oyle into glase Bottles. The best time to
make this Oyle is in the begining of May It is an excellent
Oyntment for a bruise

Take: 20 pound of malago Raisons & being rabel Clean Sherd
them Very Small: then take five gallonds of water it must boil
an hour: & when it is boyld pouer it into the Rasins: & then Let
them Steep 10 dayes Stiring them once a day: afterwards pass the
Liquor through a hair cive: have in rediness 6 pints of Elder bery
tace drawn Bala: marea & put it Cold into the Liquor: then Stirr
it well to gether afterwards tun it into a Vessll & Let it Stand
in a warm place too months or ten weeks: & tun both it
there must bee five gallonds of water when it is boyled
