Sunday, Jan. 4, 1914
Lola called up & invited me out to meet
Demmy but it was raining. I worked in
my room all day at 5 called for
Editha & we went to the Little Theatre
thence to League Anniversary dinner
at Thompson's. Mitchell star speaker.
Walked home with Editha & little
O'Neil girl.

Monday 5
Went to Dr Schiff at 9 but teeth were
too nervous to do anything. Pottered
in office. Did nothing. Staff meeting
of "L&L" from 3 to 5. Wm B called up to
invite me to opera, refused. Maquay called
up. Owing to insomnia put in one of
the ghastliest days of irritation conceivable.
Walked home & worked till 8.30.

Tuesday 6
In office all day. Went to banks & got
draft ready to send mother. Demmy
called up & asked me out next day.
He met Ethel & I on the corner as we
were leaving the office. Miss Phelps' party in
evening very jolly. Mr Wynne played & Miss
Byrne sang. Maquay & Mr Arnold there
Slept with veranal
