Saturday, April 4, 1914
Went to Miss O'Connell to have dress
tried & arrived in office late. Went to lunch
at Hearth forgetting Miss Ryan had invited me
till she rung up & I went over to her & Editha
at Carson Pirie's. Back to office &
worked still 5.30. Had a little dinner
downstairs with Dinah Podlivna.
Then went to P.O. with Australian
mail & came home so dead
exhausted that I tumbled to sleep.
Forced myself up & practised a little at 8.

Sunday 5
Got up at 10. Stayed in room all
day very busy with chores &
mended a little & wrote some
letters. Wrote to Lola. Typed a
little of [Hurrie?Harrie?]. Had a bath
& went to bed at 10 o'clock.
A bright sunny day but a cool
wind making steam comfortable.

Monday 6
Got down at 9.30. Got letter from
Mother saying Tal was ill & I was so
upset I forgot everything even to
go to Dr. Schiff. Sent a cable in the afternoon.
Lunch with Ethel at Hearth. Dinner at
same place with Editha & Miss Henry.
Miss Pethick & Miss Hodge
called during afernoon.
