Got a cable saying Tal was recovering. Lola called up about dinner. Jack Lloyd & Mr Howe called
Got down to office at noon & had a little lunch dowstairs. Mostly answered the telephone all afternoon about Miss H & Miss Pethick. Supper at Henrici's on Mich with S. Anderson, Miss H. & Margery Currey. Then went to Auditorium with Margery & Anderson to hear election returns. Got home about 8.20. Very cold - terrible wind.

Wednesday 8
Got down at 9.45. Lunch with Ethel at Hearth. Cold snowy day. Miss Pischel came in to say goodbye. At six Ethel, Miss H & I went to City Club to the dinner we arranged for Miss Hodge & Miss Pethick. Went home with Editha and brought her lamp and other things for her. Kathleen Ussher called during afternoon & we got a check cashed for her.

Thursday 9
Got down at 9.30. Put in a busy day. Lunch at Hearth alone. Jim
Mullenbach & Catherine called also Miss Pethick & Miss H & I took her to tea at Field's. Fred Pischel called up about automobiling. Arnold called up. Had a little dinner with Dinah downstairs & walked home.
