Got down at 9.45. Dictated letter to Ex. Bd. Lunch with Galvin
at Henrici's on Mich. [Michigan Ave]. Had a talk with Ethel about war. Dinner with Margery Curry - Dell at Hearth. Walked home & worked on Net of C. till 10.
Very warm day & sunny. Pottered & went to bed.
Friday 17
Got down at 10.15 & went to Dr. Van to have my ear done. Lunch with Miss Galvin at Hearth. Busy afternoon. Instructed Myrtle.
Dinner at Hearth alone and walked home. Very warm day.
Saturday 18
Heard of poor old Miss Stout's death. Sent flowers. Lunch at Hearth with Miss Henry & Mrs C. Browne committee. Got home at 3 and slept an hour. Then worked.
Wm. B.L. called & brought me some Mango jam from Jamaica.
A very warm day.
