Hot day but cool breeze at night.
Idle profitless day in office. Olive called.
Ethel & I had lunch at Domestic Science.
Then walked down Mich Ave to Suff. [Suffragette]
headquarters & Auditorium & saw
Club women buzzing around. Dinner
alone at Hearth & walked home. Put
in busy evening. Miss I. Russell
called at office for a moment.

Friday 19
Beastly [previous word underlined] cold day.
Steam on in office.
Wrote pars for L & L. in morning. Went
to singing at 1.30 Thence to P.O. & got
contract with Mills & Boon. Went to Dr
Miller at 3. Dinner & lunch at Hearth alone.
Went to Miss Siegmund's recital in
Recital Hall to hear Miss Byrne sing.
Home & to bed.

Saturday 20
Got down at 10. Traipsed to bank. Miss
Hunt came in & invited us out to Evanston.
Leonora Pease came in after lunch &
Miss H. & I talked a while & then I went home
& slept very exhausted. Supper in room
& went to bed at 10. Lunch &
dinner alone at Hearth. Cool day.
