Sunday, June 21, 1914
Got up at 9. Went to Pischel's for
dinner, Arrived at 2 & found my watch
was 1 hr. slow. During afternoon Fred
read Emma's letters. At 5.30 he drove
Miss H & me to Evanston where Miss
Hunt had a supper for several League
people. Driving thunderstorm.
I came home in street car part
of way with Beatrix Dauchey.

Monday 22
I went to Saul's at 8. To Polk St Stn at
10 to meet Frances Lerman. Took her
to Field's for lunch at 11 then to office &
put her on car for N.W. Stn. Went back
to Saul's. Then back to office at 5.
Amy Walker had been in to announce
her engagement to Mr. Field. Talked to Miss
H. awhile. Dinner at Hearth alone
& walked home. Exhausted - slept an hour.

Tuesday 23
Hot day. Went to Post office thence to
Prog. Club with Ethel but there was a dinner
on & I went to Naomi. Olive called in afternoon.
I went & had an ice cream with
Ethel at Kranz's. Back to office stayed till
nearly seven on first inspire for "The
Affinity". Dinner at Hearth alone & walked
home. Hot day but a breeze.
