[Wednesday, June 24, 1914]
Hot day
Surprise of the day was Miss Anderson
ringing up to say Florence Sherwood was
to be married during afternoon. In evening
B. Dauchy had a birthday party for Agnes
at which the girls dressed up & Amy W.
appeared with her fiance named Field.
Amy was very patronising to us & dictatorial to the man.
Lord how it rained.

[Thursday 25]
Met Miss A Boynton on the way home & she
invited me to a recital in the evening to hear
Marie Waters sing in Recital Hall. We
stopped a few minutes ere setting out as Art.
Field came in. On way home we stopped
outside sorority Hse to see party going on.
One of the guests invited me in & saw me home
to corner. Lunch at Pure food place
with Ethel. Went to Saul & on way back to P.O.
got letter from Doran Co.

[Friday 26]
Got down at 10.30. Ethel came to lunch
with me at Hearth. At 2.30 went to
local office for meeting about Rangel-
Cline defense. Dinner alone at
Hearth walked home and went
to bed not very well. Read C.S. &
found some rare gems.
