Friday, July 3, 1914
Was greeted with news that 10 dol had been found on Miss Peterson's desk. Went to Bank & P.O. singing at 1.30. Maggie Hinchey, Leonora P & Mrs Felt called during afternoon. Went to P.O. again with Australian mail. Supper at Dutch Garden. Came home pottered some & went to bed. Still cool.

Saturday 4
Got up at 9.30. Went thru things for Mother & found all satisfactory. Went out to the store for some things & ate in room. Worked a little on story & pottered. Practised a little. Life a torture with the sparrows. Suppose the Lord has some idea for them.

Sunday 5
Got up at 9.30. Went to store & got a few things & stayed in room all day. Washed head & pottered & wrote a little but very tired. Went to bed at 10. Cool in my room with nice breeze blowing
but warm in sun.
