Monday July 6, 1914
Got down at 9.20 & pottered at Club Biennial article & letter of appeal for "L. & L". Miss Henry had lunch with me at Hearth. Geo. Webster from Aust. came in at 5 & stayed till nearly 7. Dinner at Hearth where I met Miss Cannon. Walked home feeling utterly defeated. Warm day.
Tuesday 7
Got down at 9.30. Worked & "L&L" stuff. It was good to see Ethel again after several day's absence. Lunched together at Pure Food. Went to Dr Miller at 1.00. Dinner at Hearth with Miss Cannon. Walked home & practised. Warm day but a breeze.
Wednesday 8
Pottered & had lunch at Pure Food with Ethel & Edith Mason. Went to Dr Miller at 3.30 & had a hard time. Horace A.W. Jones called from Australia sent by Stewart Boynton. Dinner with Miss H. at Hearth & walked home - Fred came at 8 & gave me second automobile lesson. Very cold
