Monday, Aug. 17, 1914
Got down at 10. Hot day. Pottered ineffectually without accomplishing anything. Walked home alone from Hearth. Went to bed early after practising a little. Nothing happened of any spark of interest to make life worth living.
Tuesday 18
Very hot day. Routine day in the office got home at 7 very tired no water on fourth floor. Disgusted with everything. At dentist from 8.45 to 10.45. Cut off two front teeth on left side & put on 2 temporary.
Wednesday 19
Went to dentist again at 9 & 1.30
Lunch with Miss Henry at Hearth. Walked home & rested. Fred came at 8 & we listened to the Park Band for a time & then went on outer drive xxxxxxxxx
Home at 11.15. Showers during the evening. Did Sept. dummy.
