Hot day
Went to Saul at 8 to Dr & 9 & got on 2 front teeth at left back to dentist. Lunch at Eat Shop. Got thru at 3.30 & back to office. Mr Holly made a long call about advice for his affairs. Home & rested & went to hear Mr Robins at Progressive Club at 8.30. Met the 3 Mullenbachs. Very tired.

Friday 21

Got down at 10. Went to Printers & finished up odds & ends. Lunch with Ethel at Pure food. So [deadly?] sad about war life does not seem worth living. Cool day. Dinner at Hearth alone & walked home. To bed at 10.

Saturday 22

So sick about the war that I'm really paralysed. Kept office from 8.30 till 12. Had lunch & got home at 3. Slept from 4 to 8 then fixed up "When Cupid Tarried" - cut holes & bound a copy etc. Went to bed at 12. Hot night. Had supper of dry bread in room.
