In bed all day. Mrs Pischel attended to me. Sat up a little in evening & read "The Dangerous Age" by Karin Michaelas [Michaelis].
But feeling better. Warm day
Wednesday 2
Got up at 10. In afternoon went down to Saul's to see about Miss McDowell's campaign cards & came straight back. Sat up till 10. Feeling all right.
Thursday 3
Got down to office at 10.30 & stayed all day. Feeling all right. Ethel went to Wisconsin. Mrs R. came. Dinner at Hearth & walked home. Wm B. made a long call & told me of Jack's mess up.
