Friday, Sept. 4, 1914
Got down at 10. Nell Malone & other girl from Australia called & brought me flowers. Wm B called during afternoon. Cool day. Poor old summer is gone. Fred rang up.
Saturday 5
Got to office before 9. Mrs R. rang up & came in & was very disagreeable. K. Ussher came in Miss H. K.U. & I had lunch at Dutch Garden. I had Fred & Miss H to dinner at Lincoln Pkway & then we went to hear Mr Post speak at City [Club?] & Fred brought me home & then went on with Miss H. Wet night.
Sunday 6
With the exception of going to store for supplies stayed in room all day. Slept & pottered & started a little of new story entitled "Forget It".
