Sunday, Sept. 13, 1914
Lovely day. Cooked meals in room. Lay in bed & read proof excepting that I got out & went to League meeting on Peace & came home again. Went to bed at 10.30. Finished proofs.
Monday 14
Got down at 10. Warm murky day. Got letter saying war had postponed chances of Net of C. Went in & had a talk with Wm. B. War still terrible & heart breaking. Mr P. rang me up to say Emma was expected. I rang Fred up in evening to inquire.
Tuesday 15
Routine day in the office. At 8 p.m Fred came & I drove for awhile. Then we pulled up on Eric St & had a long session. xxxxx
xxx Home at 11.45.
