Monday, Sept. 28, 1914
Very warm day. Got down early. Sick with cold went to Dr Van Hoesen at 4.30 for treatment. Ethel came back thank the Lord. Miss Fabian started work. Ethel Miss H. & I went to lunch at Domestic Science. Had a number of callers. Mrs R. was in evidence. I went to bank & to other office.
Tuesday 29
Got down early, busy day. Fabian girl came again for a few hours. Went to Mr Mills with article on Broom makers. At evening went to party at Mrs Robins. She was v. angry with Miss H. & I ['me' written over 'I'] because we came to front door. Emma P. & Mrs Pelham leading guests.
Wednesday 30
Got down early busy day. Fabian girl jacked up. Lillian Carr sent me a fried chicken & we all had lunch in office. Embroidery workers came to give me story. Dinner at Hearth alone. Went to bed early.
