Sunday, Oct. 4, 1914
Very hot all day. Stayed in bed late. Just dozed all day. Arrived on time & was met by Octavia & her husband & taken to their dear little nest. Found Octavia more entrancing than ever & her husband all that could be desired.
Monday 5
Lovely day. Demi rang up & we arranged for next day. I rung up Aileen & Octavia invited her to afternoon tea & we had a lovely time. Nancy & S.P. came to see me at night.
Tuesday 6
Octavia & I went down town to shop. I had lunch at Buckminster. Demmy came at 3 & away we went over hill and dale at such a great rate - grand. Dinner at fern-Croft & came roaring home at 9.45
Rather cold in spite of coats.
