Octavia & I chattered a great deal. I went down town on a shopping expedition. Went to Aileen in afternoon. Met Nancy & S. P-W. at 2 o'clock & went room hunting which I didn't need as Aileen had a room for me with her. Dinner at Buckminster.

Thursday 8
Left Octavia & came to Aileen at Mrs Sprague's at 113 Gainsboro St. Had a sleep in afternoon. S.P. & Nancy called to see me. Supper with Geraldine & Aileen. Wrote letters & went to bed early A lovely warm day.

Sat 10 [written over Friday 9]
Went down town in morning & shopped. Went to French lunch with girls. At 2 Demmy called & took me to a football match Harvard against Washington & Jefferson. Lovely summer day. Drove without wrap. Home at 5.15 & had supper with girls & pottered.
