Monday, Oct. 19, 1914
Began Red Cross story.
Went to W.T.U.L at 12. Anne Withington & Miss Gillespie took me to lunch at Industrial Union. Then Anne & I walked about some. I met Mrs Ripley & then came home. Very nearly asleep when Demmy called up. Went to C.S. lecture with girls. Went to bed. Slept poorly.

Tuesday 20
Tried to rest in morning. Sick from insomnia. During afternoon went down town & met Anne W. & Nancy W at tea. Walked home with Anne along the Esplanade. At night went to vaudeville with Nancy. Did not sleep at all hardly. Still lovely summer weather.

Wednesday 21
Fooled around in the morning. Went to lunch with the girls & then walked down town to Woman's Journal & back. S.P. came & had a talk with me & then I did some kitchen chores & slept till supper. Went to service with Geraldine came home & slept well all night thank God.
