Feeling depressed & discouraged to extermination. Went out lunch with the girls otherwise kept my room all day.
Slept in the afternoon all right. Still lovely weather.
Monday 26
Feeling so panicky I hated to get up. Just cowered all morning. Went to lunch with girls returned & took to my antidote in the form of fiction. Read "Pygmalion" by Shaw among other things. Dear Mr Watson came & wrestled with me. O miracle come & save me!
Tuesday 27
Got up at 11. Feeling like fury - discontented & panicky. Went to lunch with girls. Mr Watson called. Took care of Wm Henry. Nancy called before tea.
Went to bed at 10. Cold day but fine.
