Saturday, Nov. 21, 1914
A day of terrible depression. Lunch with Ethel at Hearth. Mr Holly called during the afternoon. Ethel & I left together about four. I walked home buying supplies to last me over Sunday. Worked on the story & cooked my dinner.
Sunday 22
Stayed in bed till 10.30. Got up & did some washing & cooked my dinner. Worked on story & ironed during afternoon. Never moved off top floor all day. Had a talk with Mrs Scott the housekeeper & found out she is a vaudeville worker.
Monday 23
Routine day in office. Wrote minutes & report of Ex Bd for Life & Labor. Dinner with Editha at Hearth back to library to telephone & walked home together.
