Monday, Dec. 21, 1914
Lunch at Hearth with Miss Henry. Her friend Miss Williams came in before dinner & we went to the Hearth & met Editha & we all had a lively talk. Editha & I walked home after & found it cold. I got p. c into frames for Xmas presents & went to bed feeling lonely, & depressed.
Tuesday 22
Walked down v. cold. Ethel & I had lunch at Thompson's with her bro Fred. Then went to bank & p.o. & back to office. Dull day -doing nothing for want of cash. Dinner alone at Hearth & walked home. V. cold. Mended red dress & went to bed depressed. Went to Dr Miller & paid him $50.00
Wednesday 23
Walked down. Lunch with Ethel at Hearth then went to Art Institute, bank etc. Took Nell Malone & Eve Midgley [Midgely] to afternoon tea at Carson Scott. because they leave tomorrow. Dinner with Editha at Hearth & came home washed head & did odd jobs etc. Very weary
