Stayed in room all day
& worked on article "How

Mrs Ussher came home at 4.15
& I made tea. Nell came for
evening. Kath in bed with
cold.

TUES. APRIL 11 1916
Went to 144 High Holborn &
had lunch with A. A. Smith. To
Edith Grove to review paintings
of Mrs de Morgan. In evening
went to dinner at Lyceum
Club met Miss Boyadjhan [Boyajian]
Mrs Aldridge, Mrs Wood et
al. Lovely fine day.

Evelyn de Morgan (1855 - 1919) - pre-Raphaelite style artist, suffrage supporter & pacifist, held this 1916 benefit exhibition at Edith Grove (which Miles mentions attending) to raise funds for the Red Cross and the Italian Red Cross (Crose Rossa).
