Worked in room all day
in evening went to "Barton
Mystery", H.B. Irving at Savoy.
Miss Kennedy of "Times" was
to have met me there but she
made mistake & went to another theatre.
In morning went to Straker's to
buy paper. Lovely warm day
TUES. AUG 1 1916
Gloriously warm day. In
morning swam with Olaf and
his mother in Chelsea Baths.
Had a little snooze in afternoon.
In evening went to Chelsea Lib-
-rary to look up Lambeth
Palace etc.
