Walked thru H Pk. on way to
Miss C. for lunch
-had altercation with 'bus man
over ½d. At 5 went to Walsøes
& home about 10 - searchlights [originally written as flashlights, flash crossed out replaced with search]
most glorious. A fine day
but a little chilly for my taste

MON. AUG. 21 1916
Swam in Chelsea baths with Walsøes
studied F. & short hand.
Shopped at W's end after tea.
Nice outside - very cold
in my dugout.
