Stayed in all day excep-
ting to post a letter. Remade
blue feather & velvet toque. Tea
with Usshers. Wet in
evening. Not cold.
No swans. Have they gone
for the winter?

MON. SEPT. 18, 1916
Went swimming in morning
with Maud. Had dinner &
slept - cold after swim. In
evening went to Marlborough School
to enrol for French. Such a
glorious evening.
One swan preening its feathers
on the full tide.
