Typed "Jackeroo" in morning
in afternoon met Mrs Bell who
took me to "Mr Manhattan". I
took her to tea after at Cr. House.
Came home & found Nell. Stayed
in. Lovely, lovely day. Came
on to rain at night. Foliage
looking very shabby in Sloane Sq.
& Lower Sl. St. & along by
Pimlico & a few trees entirely
denuded.

FRI. OCT. 6 1916
Went to wait at Minerva &
came home via L[e]icester Sq. to
see young Nevinson's pictures.
Noted 2 swans flying in the
wind & the others at the opp.
side of bank. The wind
is bringing down heaps of
leaves.
