Maisie May. V. warm day.
banks of leaves along
the way. Some trees base [bare?]
from [Byles'?] windows.
But plenty of greenery left
yet.
SUN. OCT. 8 1916
Remarkably warm day. No
fire. Got plays ready for Mr
Watt & Mrs Mair. Worked in
room all day. Took hour's
nap in afternoon. Kath away
making munitions. Retired at
10 p.m.
