Glorious day - noted 7 swans
& 16 ducks before my door: leaves
on Plane trees getting thin &
shabby. Went swimming with
Maud in afternoon & noted
squabble with Aust. on the
street with 3 awful women
We rescued him. In evening
went to French Class.
TUES. OCT. 10 1916
Another lovely day. Pottered
over French in morning &
in afternoon went swimming
avec Maud & Olaf. Lit
fire in evening to dry hair
& it was uncomfortably
hot. Some trees quite bare
in Carlyle Sq.
