I would like to suggest that Nancy Cowper, with registry # 25, may actually be Nancy Cooper, b. abt. 1766 at Curles, Henrico County, VA, and emancipated through a 1782 Manumission Indenture of Thomas Pleasants 1782, which calls for the then 16 year old Nancy to be freed at age 18-- https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3QS7-99P6-9JQ9 . This Nancy is also most probably the mother of four known children, Samuel, Sally/Sarah, Peggy, and Allen Cooper.
