My Dearest Parents
From the continual hurry of business
I had no time to converse much with you and indeed
your minds appeared affected enough without my
touching upon the subject. I feared this parting hour
but feel relieved that it is this far over. I know I need not ask your fervent earnest prayers trusting they will be often offered up in my behalf - I go preaching[?} in them who can give the mind & the main charge concerning me. I trust he will support me in every dispensation prosperous & adverse - I hope
I shall not fail to write by every possible opportunity &
let not my Dear parents hearts be cast down should there be any arrival without a letter from me - I [?] send up the attested copies of the Bills with receipt for payment of [?]
Your letter with [?] came safe to hand by my dear brother Samuel - I do not think we shall go out tomorrow however I have prepared.
Remember me affectionately to all my Dear
Friends - the Potatoes & samples of cloth came safe
to hand but I expected to have had some letters
