as I have so many things to mind on Sundays
and my poor Father is very ill still.
I did not hear that Mr. Jones was going off
till [indecipherable] or else I would have written you more.
Eber desires to be remembered to you and hopes
that you will be a faithful Minister of the Gospel.
Oh! that the Lord would direct me to find some way
to go with you as it is my sincere wish, but
now I stand in no chance as you and wishes are gone
off. I often thought of speaking to you about
going a Missionary till it was too late and
now I suppose it is no use for me to try,
but if Mr Jones will come back I shall do my best
to go. I should like to see you very much once
more before you leave this land but I am
almost certain that I shall not.
I have not more to send you at present but
I must leave you and wishing that the Lord
will guide you and keep in all your travels
and it shall be my daily prayer to the
Lord that you might be a faithful Minister

and that your Preaching might do much good to
the soulds of many sinners.
I should be very much obliged to you if you would
be so kind as to send me an answer before you
leave as it would be a great thing with me
so I shall remain your true and
faithful in the Lord

NB Our class [indecipherable]
Eber was obliged to come back to us from the [indecipherable]
and that has made much [indecipherable] in thoughts.

Few lines that I wrote the night before you left
Lampeter which I suppose you have before.

Most dear friend, receive this last farewell,
The love I bear toward you, what man can tell:
Alas! your face no more shall I behold
Till death dissolves our frail and earthly mould:
We'll share your [indecipherable] to oblivion sink,
My anxious mind of you will ever think.
Excuse my poor writing as I am bbadly off for quills since you left.
