Dear Brother
We have once or twice had the pleasure of seeing
a few lines penned by your well known hand at the bottom
of a letter from one or two of our friends. I need not tell
you that the perusal even of 6 lines from you, had afforded
very great pleasure, & we have only you [indecipherable] you did
not write us a larger [indecipherable] about England, London,
Wales & [indecipherable] as we have very frequently heard of you
by many of our dear friends, in whose company we were
happy to hear you had been, Mrs Thos Jones/Superintend-
and of the Schools/Mr JB Moor, Mr & Mrs Denny and my
dear sister were among those who have expressed [indecipherable]
the pleasure your visits to them imparted. I have
written to you once or twice by way of Port Jackson,
but I do not know if you have received my letters
as we have not had the pleasure of an answer.
The Brig Hope being about to sail for England direct
I cannot let such an opportunity pass without writing a
few lines & return you our sincere thanks for the
opportunities you have afforded our friends for writing
