My dear Sir
I do still indulge the hope that you may be
able to revive the Bible Association at Parramatta. -

By Mr. Eyre's last letter to me to this subject it
would seem that the Assn. has been about [indecipherable]
without any operative proof that it does exist. -
If it does exist, let not such a good work languish & die.
If it be really annihilated, then let another be instituted
without delay. What Report can make to the Parent
Society? - Whatever attention we may be willing, or able
to show for other Benevolent Institutions, let us not make
light of the Bible! - In trust & kind regard
I remain, Dear Sir, Yours
William Cowper.

PS. As I have before written
on this very subject without
any success, I have now taken
the liberty to address you. If the Gentlemen cannot do anything, might not
the whole be left to the Ladies? In this let Mr. H. be
the Primum Mobile.
