My dear Friend,
I am quite surprised at
not receiving a letter from you, or any acct
of you since you sail'd from Plyth, if the
Lord spares you in the land of the living,
forget not that you have friends in
Plymouth, who earnestly long to hear from
you, I tore open a letter we recd from Mrs
Canvosson, & search'd every corner for your
name, in vain, the Ship must have reach'd
her destination, or I cou'd not have recd an
answer from Mrs C, I have since written
you by Mrs E ... ses, the person you saw
at our house, whose husband was at Sydney,
I trust we shall soon hear from you, the
best of tidings, that you are bless'd &made
a blessing to all around you.
Agnes is now at home, but we mean to
send her to School again for six months, the
weather, & state of health of her Grandmother, &
