My Dear Sir
I am much disappointed in not being
able to procure an order from Mr Oxley's Office for
the Land I am to purchase. He went off for a week
or two, a few days since. And Mr Cavenaugh,

Mr Cable is away and his receipt will not be paid
for a few days. Mrs. {indecipherable] paid {indecipherable]

I could get nothing {indecipherable] the other day
from Mr. Oxley: The order which he has given me
I now send, with the Private {indecipherable] letter relative
to the land for purchase. There will, I hope, be
sufficient authority to induce Mr. {indecipherable] to give
possession. But if there is not good land to be
obtained without going a great distance, perhaps
I had better get Mr Oglivie to select it for
